A good-quality UPVC window can typically remain functional for 20 years or more, while some industry life-cycle assessments use service-life assumptions of around 40 years for the complete plastic window. The actual lifespan, however, depends on much more than the UPVC profile itself. Glazing, hardware, seals, installation quality, exposure to weather and regular maintenance can all affect how long the window performs properly.
