OnePlus may introduce a new colour for the OnePlus 9 Pro smartphone. The company’s COO Liu Fengshuo posted an image of the OnePlus 9 Pro in white colour. OnePlus had launched the OnePlus 9 series in shades of green, blue and black earlier. There’s no official word as to when OnePlus will introduce the new white colour option.
Fengshuo posted the photo on Weibo and asked fans about their opinion on the new colour option. The white colour option comes in a matte texture which means the device will not attract smudges.
OnePlus usually launches the ‘T’ variant of its flagship phone during the later half of the year. However, OnePlus may not launch the OnePlus 9T this year. This was tipped by Max J, the tipster who in the past has been right about past OnePlus handsets, on Twitter who in a short tweet said, “No 9T.” When asked about a Pro variant of the OnePlus 9T Pro in a reply to this tweet, he said no to that as well.
The tipster hasn’t mentioned any reason as to why OnePlus may not launch the OnePlus 9T series. It could either be a change in the strategy to offer a single flagship model in a year or a result of a global chip shortage. But till the company doesn’t state anything officially, everything is speculation.
Also, it could be possible that instead of launching OnePlus 9T, OnePlus may introduce a new colour option of the OnePlus 9 Pro.
